Meditating Together in Nature

Paint, Copper and Stainless Steel | 40 x 40 x 45 cm | 33 + 3 Artist Proofs

Yifat, my inspiring life partner and I, have been creating artwork together for a decade now. This work is inspired by our life together, the journey we have taken and the place we find ourselves now. Meditating together. Meditating about who we are, Meditating about what and who we want to be. Meditating over where we want to take our artistic practise both spiritually and practically.

A metallic sculpture of a reclining woman, with a reflective greenish surface, lying on a black base with a tall vertical metallic element behind her.
Close-up of a metallic fountain depicting a fairy with wings, lying on her side, with one arm extended and her hair flowing, atop a reflective surface.
A metallic sculpture of a hand making a gesture, reflecting green and black colors, holding a tall, shiny, gold-colored object.
Green metallic sculpture of a winged, humanoid figure with long hair, lying on a reflective black surface against a white background.
Close-up of a metallic sculpture of a hand with green and black accents on a white background.
Close-up of a metallic sculpture depicting a human figure lying on its side with another human hand gesturing a finger gesture, with a reflective vertical surface in the background.

On this piece we decided to bake a philosophical equation into its fabric, to come out with it and make a statement. It talks about the organic and infinite nature of spirituality, connecting it back to the basic building blocks of life.

A reflective sculpture of a hand with two fingers raised, resting on a surface with mathematical symbols and an equation reading 'θ - 1/θ = 1', and a tall vertical metallic tube behind it.
