A continuation of the Pura Vida story.
In Alchemy, the Red Eyed Tree Frog returns—not as a symbol of stillness, but of motion, instinct, and pursuit. Inspired by the monumental Alchemical Leap from the 2024 Macau Biennale, now held in the permanent collection of the Macau Museum of Art, this piece carries the story forward.
Where Pura Vida was a moment of presence and reflection, Alchemy is a moment of need. The frog is hunting. Energy is everything. Alchemy, in its truest form, is not gold from lead—but life from effort. Transformation demands hunger.
This sculpture captures that turning point: nature’s quiet engine, the elegant urgency that drives survival and change. The frog’s body is poised, alive with tension—mid-leap or just before it. The story is no longer about being. It’s about becoming.
