I created this piece with Yifat Davidoff: my wife, my best friend, and art partner. Our story began with a quiet miracle: we were born on the very same day, in the same month and year, right down to the same hour. We are cosmic twins who entered this world together, and this work is my way of honoring the depth of the journey we’ve shared ever since. Inspired by the grace of Renaissance sculptor Antonio Canova, the sculpture starts as a swirling, abstract mystery. But as you look into the cylindrical mirror, the distorted shapes resolve into a clear, intimate embrace. To find that moment of clarity, I use billions of mathematical calculations rooted in the constant pi (π), mapping out the way light reflects and bends. It takes all that technical precision just to capture something as simple and profound as a kiss. It’s a reminder that even when life feels chaotic or unrecognizable, there is a beautiful, hidden symmetry waiting to be found when you look from the heart. Read more ↓ ## Inspired By “Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss” Antonio Canova sculpted Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss between 1787 and 1793. It was commissioned in 1787 by Colonel John Campbell, and the first version was completed in 1793. The sculpture is currently displayed in the Louvre Museum in Paris.
