In this enigmatic series of acrylic on canvas, “Faces of the Moon”, the celestial body takes a deeply personal form as it is replaced with the artist’s own self-portrait. This unique blend of introspection and cosmic observation in stark black and white frames explores the cyclical synchronicity between the artist's biorhythms and the phases of the moon. Within minimalistic strokes and contrasts, the viewer is drawn to ponder the minimal essence needed for recognition and understanding, mirroring how physicists derive cosmic laws from mere fragments of data. Thus, the pieces echo a subtle dance between internal experiences and celestial occurrences, inviting contemplation on the intricacies of perception, cycle, and self within the boundless tapestry of the universe.
