This artwork is an abstract exploration of the intricate and timeless beauty of the natural world. Drawing inspiration from a photograph I took of a flower in a friend's vegetable garden, I was captivated by the array of colours that nature can craft. The piece serves to express my belief that this exquisite colour palette is embedded within the very fabric of all living things, having developed over billions of years to reach its current evolutionary state. In this way, my artwork acts as a celebration of the hidden perfection found in nature. I grew up in South Africa and have been heavily influenced by the deep history of African Masks. This work applies a brutally mathematical look at one of the the core concept behind African Masks. The listening ancestors.
